Go Green in a Simple Way

WOW! I just heard this so I felt I needed to share this with everyone: In regards to going green:

If everyone in the U.S. said "no thanks" to ATM receipts, it would save a roll of paper so long it could circle the equator fifteen times.

It's amazing that one small change in our daily lives can have such an impact on the world.

Use Low- Energy Christmas Light This Year. Why?

1. Low-Energy C7 Bulbs and C9 Bulbs use less energy due to their lower wattage. They cost only ONE dollar more / box of 25 to buy. They will save you money on your electric bill. These bulbs do not require transformers, they require fewer power sources or outlets and are much much cooler. Also, they reduce the possibility of fire hazards.
These bulbs are still are bright and run twice the length of traditional strings.

Have a very "Green" Christmas!

Keep a Clean Stove During the Holiday Season

OK guys! I know this may be a funny thing to blog about but I have learned something amazing that I believe it will help every kitchen during the holiday season. I had spilled some Baked Ziti in my oven. To remove it, I did this:

Sprinkle the spills immediately with salt. When the oven has cooled, brush away the burnt-on food with a damp sponge.

It works great! That'll help with the many delicious meals we will be making over the next few weeks. Don't let your oven show the abuse!

Get into Your Closet!

It's the time of the season: summer's heat has almost past and shorter days are here, cooler temperatures are coming! What better time to get into those dim, dark, cool closets?

A closet clean-out is essential for the new season and gives even the most frazzled home owner a feeling of accomplishment.

Box up the summer clothes and hang those jackets. Tidy up the closet floor and fold your pants and sweaters. A clean closet will help you feel refreshed and organized!

Great way to start the season!
